This month marks 13 years since I became a dad. I cannot believe that my Madelyn Grace will be a teenager! Learning how to parent over the past 13 years has got to be the hardest and the most rewarding job I have had. Madelyn is very similar to me both in look and in personality. She is both beautiful and incredible! She has a strong entrepreneurial spirit and a very strong will. Two years ago, Maddy decided she wanted to play hockey like the rest of the family. She enjoyed it. But by the end of this season, she decided it wasn’t for her and said she would focus more on dance in the years to come. Well…if you saw the Waterloo Chronicle last month, Maddy was front and center. She scored the winning and only goal of the Waterloo Cup for her Ravens PeeWee #3 team. Maddy excels at dance and has improved in hockey. So who knows where her heart will lead her in the Fall. Happy Birthday to my sweet girl!
