Check the weather before leaving on a long road trip. Visibility is necessary to a safe trip. If you are driving in the country where roads could be closed packing an emergency kit is a great idea. Small blanket, candle, thermos, matches or lighter, flares or reflective triangles, a small shovel and a flashlight.
