I know you will find this hard to believe but I am now officially a half marathon Disney Princess. Go ahead, laugh hard and get it out of your system!! Two families ventured to Disney together, 2 of us running the half and 8 of them running the 5km. Kudos to my 11 year old who ran 5km, correction he says “it was 5.3km & I beat you Dad!!” in 25 minutes flat. Kuddos also to my lovely wife Laura who completed her first ever 5k race! We spent 4 days in a Disney Vacation Resort, 2 days enjoying the magical park experience and 2 days up at the crack of dawn to race through Disney. If you ever want to challenge yourself with a fun race, the Disney series runs are full of distractions, with all the Disney characters out to cheer you on as you run through Magic Kingdom & Epcot. They are a well organized, highly motivating, family event that are easy to finish with 20,000 other runners all shapes and sizes, some wearing very unique costumes. I am always fascinated by the magical experience received at Disney but more fascinated by how Disney manages to extract more money per person than Las Vegas!
