Hockey Hockey Hockey season is back! We are thrilled to now have all 3 of our children playing hockey. Our schedules are full and it is exciting. Unfortunately, Laura and I have both suffered hockey injuries and funny enough….NEITHER of us were playing hockey at the time; two separate, but very innocent hockey injuries. Laura got a goose egg and subsequent concussion from an unexpected puck that met her forehead while she was sitting on our front porch watching the kids play. My injury was the result of an unintended hit from behind by someone half my size while coaching my son’s hockey team. Thankfully Laura’s swelling has diminished and I’m only suffering a little from the whiplash and stiff neck. Both Laura and I have a newfound respect for the saying “eyes in the back of your head.”
