My acting career is making a come-back!

Maddy and Brent in front of the H.M.C.S HaidaIn this photo with Maddy and I is the H.M.C.S Haida, a Tribal-class destroyer that served in the Royal Canadian Navy from 1943 to 1963.  What you probably don’t know about me is that I was the lead character in a documentary made about the ship when I was 14 years old. Turns out this was a career ending part for my movie acting, but thanks to Facebook Live I am making a come-back!! I learned more about the stories the ship had to tell in two nights than I could ever learn sitting in a classroom. The HMCS participated in World War II, the Korean War Conflict and the Cold War. Distinguishing herself in several historic battles, the Royal Canadian Navy’s most famous ship now proudly rests in Hamilton. In the summer you can explore its historic decks and imagine yourself, just as I did a few years ago, as a crew member of the destroyer dubbed ‘Canada’s most fightingest ship’.
