It is with a sombre tone that I write this month’s article for team player. Caleb Weeks started with our detail team in November 2017. He was an energetic, enthusiastic hard worker who loved to serve.

On Saturday April 21, while wrapping up a missions trip with Servant Leadership Institute in Guatemala, Caleb tragically drowned in the ocean. Though completely overwhelmed with loss, we are so thankful for the time he served on our detail team at Brentwood. Caleb loved Jesus, he loved his family, and he loved serving other people.

A gofundme account was set up to support the family in the efforts to bring Caleb home from Guatemala. “In the event that money raised exceeds the cost of search and repatriation, as well as what insurance will cover, all remaining giving will be committed to a memorial scholarship fund in Caleb’s name.
