On March 29th Brentwood supported the 2018 Outstanding Women of Laurier gala where they showcase the role that Laurier female student-athletes play in furthering the profile of women both on and off the field. It is always inspiring to see how our community supports the Athletics programs at Laurier.  This year’s Keynote address was delivered by Georgia Simmerling (as pictured with Leo & I). It was a privilege to chauffeur Georgia and hear her story of perseverance. This years outstanding woman of Laurier award went to a 3rd year Kinesiology and physical education Major, Emily Ferguson. Emily is actively serving our community on and off the lacrosse Field.  She shares the same family name, is from Waterloo Region but unfortunately she is not related.
