What seeds are you planting this spring?

The secret to success and failure is the same thing. “A man is what he thinks about all day long.” RALPH WALDO EMERSON

change your thoughts for successWhat are you thinking about? Your thoughts are like seeds and your mind is fertile soil. Your mind doesn’t care what you plant but rest assured whatever you plant, the soil of your mind will return it to you.

Take some time to stop and think. Most people don’t think, they think they think but they really don’t! Think about what you are thinking about! Start paying attention to your thoughts. See, everything you do is habitual including your thinking.

HABIT – a usual way of behaving: something that a person does often in a regular and repeated way.

Start paying attention to what you think about all day long. What are your habitual thoughts?

Take a few minutes, grab a pen and write down your answers. You’ll be surprised by what occupies your mind when you stop and think about it.

  • Are you thinking about what you want or what you don’t want?
  • Are you thinking about your strengths or what’s wrong with you?
  • Are you thinking about how you can achieve your goals or reasons why you can’t?

These are good questions to ask yourself. What are your habitual ways of thinking?

One of the mistakes we make is we look at our current circumstances and our situation and we allow that to control our thinking. Your bank balance, your health and the state of your relationships right now are only an indication of where you are right now, it’s got nothing to do with where you are going or what you are capable of.

After you have written down the things you think about all day long, rewrite them the way you want things to be and then read and rewrite it every day until the new way of thinking becomes your new habitual way of thinking and watch the magic happen. You’ll wake up one day a brand new person in a brand new world. What a wonderful promise!

You have to plant your seeds and nurture them. Trust in the laws of nature and allow the seeds of your wonderful new life to grow. Don’t give up and don’t stop planting seeds until you see them grow. There is a season to sow and a season to reap and you don’t do both in the same season.

There are laws of nature that govern everything and if you want to succeed in life you need to get in harmony with these laws.
